Greek equities finished Monday's trading session in positive territory, with the benchmark Athens General Composite index climbing 0.55%. The advance was driven by broad-based gains, led by notable strength in the nation's banking, construction, and travel sectors.

Market sentiment was positive, as rising stocks significantly outnumbered decliners on the Athens Stock Exchange by a margin of 78 to 37, with 22 stocks closing unchanged, according to data from Investing.com.

Among the top individual performers on the main index were:

• Alumil (AT:ALMr), which surged 7.06% to close at 5.76.
• Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH), adding 6.23% to end the session at 16.04.
• Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr), which gained 6.09% to finish at 2.96.

The gains in Greek stocks occurred amid a downturn in major commodity markets. Gold futures for December delivery fell over 1%, while crude oil prices saw a more significant drop.
