Following the update, Claude will automatically determine and deploy the necessary capabilities for a user's request, eliminating the need to switch between separate functions. This integration aims to create a more seamless and intuitive user experience.
New Productivity Tools
Anthropic is also introducing Claude Docs and Claude Slides in a beta launch. These new features allow users to generate documents and presentations directly within a single conversation with the AI assistant.
AdTo enhance workflow integration with existing enterprise software, the new tools will support exporting content to popular formats. Key export capabilities include:
- Documents to Google Docs or Microsoft Word
- Presentations to PowerPoint or PDF files
Market Context and Rollout
This strategic consolidation mirrors a similar move by rival OpenAI, which launched ChatGPT Work in July to combine its chatbot and Codex coding tool. Both updates highlight the escalating race between leading AI firms to capture the lucrative enterprise market by offering powerful, all-in-one work tools for a broad range of professional users, including non-coders.
The update will be rolled out over the coming weeks, starting with users on Pro and Max subscription plans across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Anthropic said the changes will later become available to users on its Team and Free plans.
