Background

Shares of Polish e-commerce platform Allegro (WSE: ALEP) surged 3.8% on Thursday after the company reported strong second-quarter 2026 results and materially upgraded its full-year financial outlook.

Upgraded Outlook and Earnings Beat

Allegro announced a significant revision to its full-year guidance, citing broad-based momentum. The company now expects:

  • Group Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) growth of 13–15% year-over-year.
  • Adjusted EBITDA growth of 13–17% year-over-year.

The optimistic forecast was underpinned by a robust second-quarter performance. Net profit from continuing operations climbed to PLN 531.9 million, up from PLN 398.5 million in the prior-year period. Consolidated revenues rose to PLN 3.34 billion from PLN 2.88 billion, according to the company's earnings release.

International Growth Accelerates

A key driver for the upgraded outlook was the rapid expansion of Allegro’s international marketplaces. The company reported that GMV growth in Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary hit approximately 100% year-over-year in the first ten weeks of the third quarter.

This international success complements continued strength in its domestic market. In Poland, GMV expanded 12% year-over-year in Q2, a pace the company noted was more than three times that of nominal retail sales. An ongoing share buyback program, targeting up to 42.1 million shares, has also provided a supportive factor for the stock price.

Market Reaction

Investors reacted positively to the combined earnings beat and guidance raise, sending Allegro's stock to a session high of PLN 47.54, just shy of its 52-week peak of PLN 47.64, before closing at PLN 46.89. The stock's strong performance stood out against a relatively flat domestic market in Warsaw and was supported by a constructive global backdrop.
