Manus 2.0 Introduces Efficiency and Creative Tools
The upgraded Manus 2.0 platform features a new agent system named Cascade, which the company reports offers substantial performance improvements. According to Manus, in one tested configuration, Cascade demonstrated notable efficiency gains:
- 23.2% reduction in token usage
- 28.2% decrease in task completion time
- 32% lower operational cost
Manus 2.0 also introduces Cloud Computer, a dedicated environment for projects requiring persistent hosting, and Automations, a feature that allows tasks to be triggered by events from connected services like email, Slack, or Notion. The desktop application has been upgraded to Manus Studio, incorporating new environments for video editing and game development, both of which allow users to manually refine AI-generated content.
Cue Platform Empowers User-Created Agents
AdAlongside the platform update, Manus launched Cue, an app that allows users to build and deploy their own personal AI agents. The company stated that each agent created through Cue is equipped with its own email, phone number, digital wallet, and computer, enabling them to operate independently.
These agents can perform tasks such as sending messages and making payments within pre-set budgets. The platform also supports the creation of agent groups that can collaborate on shared objectives, with the ability to hand off tasks between agents to complete complex workflows.
Availability and Access
Manus 2.0 is now available across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. The new Cue app is also available on web, desktop, and mobile, with an iOS version pending App Store review, according to the company.
Manus is offering early access to Cue for free on a first-come, first-served basis with the invite code `MEETCUE`. The launch positions Manus in the growing market for autonomous AI agents, where efficiency, creative capabilities, and user customization are becoming key areas of competition.
