Shares of Zeo Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:ZEO) gained 2.1% on Wednesday after the company announced it had retired $1.67 million in convertible debt ahead of schedule. The move eliminates all outstanding corporate debt from the solar and energy-storage provider's balance sheet, according to a company statement.

Balance Sheet Strengthened

Zeo Energy confirmed the full repayment of a convertible note originally issued on June 9, 2026, to White Lion Capital. The company stated the note served as short-term bridge financing to support working capital needs during its summer growth period.

As a result of the early repayment, Zeo Energy now reports no corporate debt on its balance sheet, aside from ordinary course obligations such as leases and day-to-day operational liabilities. This deleveraging is a significant step in improving the company's financial standing.

Investors responded positively to the announcement, sending the company's stock higher in Wednesday trading. The retirement of convertible debt is often seen as a favorable development, as it removes the potential for future equity dilution that can occur when such notes are converted into shares.

"Retiring this debt in full and entering this next chapter with no corporate debt reflects a strengthening of our balance sheet and our disciplined approach to capital management," said Tim Bridgewater, CEO of Zeo Energy.

Management added that operating without this debt provides a "stronger financial foundation and additional flexibility" as the company continues to execute its growth strategy in the residential solar and commercial long-duration energy-storage markets.
