Under the proposed deal, Future Investment Research and Development will cease to exist following the consolidation. VinFast Trading and Production is slated to take over all of its assets, rights, and obligations, the report stated.
This unit is a core component of the Vietnamese electric vehicle company, housing the manufacturing operations of VinFast Auto. It directly operates the automaker's vehicle production plants in Haiphong and Ha Tinh.

The merger is expected to boost the charter capital of VinFast Trading and Production to approximately 214 trillion dong.
