Saudi Tadawul All Share Surges 3.43% in Broad-Based Rally

Saudi Arabia's benchmark stock index, the Tadawul All Share, posted a significant gain on Monday, closing up 3.43% in a broad-based rally. The strong performance was driven by widespread buying interest, particularly in the Energy & Utilities, Transport, and Cement sectors, according to market data from Investing.com.
Market Internals Show Strength
The rally's strength was reflected in the market's breadth, with advancers overwhelmingly outnumbering decliners. A total of 297 stocks rose, while only 35 fell, and 11 remained unchanged, indicating strong investor sentiment across the exchange.
Among the top individual performers were:
- flynas Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4264), which surged 10.00%.
- Saudi Fisheries Co. (TADAWUL:6050), adding 9.98%.
- Red Sea International Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4230), which also climbed 9.98%.
AdIn a notable divergence from the broader market trend, a few stocks registered new lows. These included the exchange operator itself, Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (TADAWUL:1111), which fell 1.87% to an all-time low. Al Rajhi REIT Unit (TADAWUL:4340) and United International Holding (TADAWUL:4083) also declined to new lows.
Commodity and Currency Context
The equity market's gains came despite a downturn in energy prices. Crude oil futures for December delivery fell 1.97% to $101.24 a barrel, while the January Brent contract slipped 1.32% to $110.23 a barrel. The divergence suggests that domestic factors may have been the primary driver for Saudi equities during the session.
In currency markets, the USD/SAR pair remained unchanged at 3.75, in line with its peg. Meanwhile, Gold futures for December delivery saw a modest gain, rising 0.63% to trade at $4,033.25 a troy ounce.
