The company's book-to-bill ratio remained stable at 1.0x, maintaining its order backlog near all-time highs at €4,328 million, which provides significant revenue visibility for future quarters.
Quarterly sales increased by 1.5% year-over-year to €1,336 million, which was in line with analyst forecasts. Profitability also saw an uptick, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) growing 3.4% to €143.9 million. This resulted in an EBITDA margin of 10.8%, slightly ahead of the €138 million consensus.
Segment and Financial Health
Growth was uneven across the company's business segments. The Intralogistics division was the standout performer with a 21.7% increase in sales to €106.5 million. The core Filling and Packaging segment saw modest growth of 0.3% to €1,110.3 million, while the Process Technologies segment experienced a 2.1% decline to €119 million.

Free cash flow, excluding mergers and acquisitions, was negative €21.3 million, a marked improvement from negative €118.5 million in the same quarter of 2025. However, net cash decreased to €404.5 million from €548.2 million at the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
Full-Year Outlook Reaffirmed
Krones confirmed its financial guidance for the full fiscal year of 2026, indicating a stable outlook. The company continues to project:
- Revenue growth between 3% and 5%, adjusted for foreign exchange effects.
- An EBITDA margin in the range of 10.7% to 11.1%.
This reaffirmation suggests that management is confident in navigating the current market environment and meeting its annual targets, supported by its substantial order book.
