Inficon Raises 2026 Guidance on Record Sales and Surging Semiconductor Demand

Summary
The Swiss instrumentation supplier boosted its full-year sales and margin forecasts after reporting an 18.3% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue, driven by an accelerating semiconductor cycle.
Inficon raised its full-year 2026 financial guidance on Thursday after reporting record second-quarter sales, citing accelerating demand from the semiconductor industry and a strong order book. The Switzerland-based supplier of instruments and process control software pointed to robust growth drivers in high-end computing and data centers.
Upgraded Full-Year Outlook
The company announced an upward revision to its key financial targets for the year. Key adjustments include:
- Sales Guidance: Lifted to a range of $750 million to $780 million, up from the previous forecast of $710 million to $750 million.
- Operating Income Margin: Raised to 19% to 20%, tightening the prior outlook of 18% to 20%.
Strong Q2 Performance
The improved forecast is supported by a strong performance in the second quarter. The company reported that sales increased 18.3% year-over-year to reach a record $198.1 million.
AdInficon's operating income margin for the quarter improved to 21.3%, a result the company attributed to completed efficiency measures and disciplined cost controls. For the first half of the year, sales totaled $379.10 million with an operating margin of 18.90%.
Semiconductor Cycle Drives Growth
Management cited an "accelerating semiconductor cycle" as the primary factor behind its strong results and optimistic outlook. The company achieved a record order intake during the quarter, with its book-to-bill ratio well above 1, a key metric that signals future revenue growth is likely to outpace current sales.
According to Inficon, the demand was particularly strong for technologies related to leading-edge logic, high-bandwidth memory, and data-center infrastructure. This highlights the company's exposure to high-growth segments within the technology sector.
