- Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) saw its shares decline by 4.32%, ending the day at 9.04.
- Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) also experienced a significant drop, falling 3.66% to 17.13.
AdIn contrast, a few companies bucked the negative trend. Retailer Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) rose 1.68% and energy company Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.82%, with both stocks reaching three-year highs. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) also gained, climbing 0.42%.
Broader Market Context
In commodity markets, energy prices saw a significant surge. Brent oil futures for November delivery were up 4.63% to $107.85 a barrel, while WTI Crude oil rose 4.64% to $96.44 a barrel. Gold futures, however, edged lower by 0.63%.
In foreign exchange, the Euro was relatively stable against major currencies, with the EUR/USD pair unchanged at 1.14. The US Dollar Index Futures, which measures the greenback against a basket of currencies, was up 0.22% to 101.04.
